It's summer here, which is supposed to mean blue skies and hot wind but instead we are receiving bountiful rain! I love rain, I really do, but NOW? It just means we're going to have a longer summer. An African summer. A scorching summer. A summer of...okay, I'll stop my melo-dramaticNizz there.

Hear thee hear thee! I have at last completed my first year of tertiary education! My mark for my major leaves much to be desired and I am also desirous of much better marks for Ancient Cultures but it seems that was a case of pollice verso. Damn you Romans and your Hannibal ad portas! Why can I only remember the trivial things!? Spartaaaa!
On a brighter note I went ice skating today with some good old friends and a few new ones i.e. their boyfriends. It was chilled (excuse the unintended pun there) and I enjoyed myself immensely even though I do not possess such skillzz as those that whizzed past me in their shiny nonhired skates.
I have decided to go to Afrika Burn next year, extremely amped! I hope it's worth it and as glorious as the infamous tales make it out to be.
Also, I have been majorly inspired by many artists, including a close friend of mine and I finally got down to it and painted just for myself. Not for someone else, for University work. Nada. Just moi. I will try finding that blasted camera again to take a few pictures...
